Summary of Bus Scaffolding Systems IFB

This is a Scope of Work document prepared by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) in California for a competitive invitation for bids (IFB) to procure two (2) bus scaffolding systems. The project requires qualified contractors to supply and deliver mobile scaffolding systems capable of supporting bus maintenance and repair operations. The procurement calls for a two-year contract term with a total budget allocation of $500,000. The document establishes technical specifications and performance requirements that bidders must meet to be considered responsive, including detailed dimensional parameters, weight capacity standards, safety features, and operational capabilities necessary for integration into OCTA's maintenance facilities.

The IFB establishes pricing as a fixed contract value of $500,000 for the complete two-year term, with payment structured according to delivery milestones and acceptance of equipment. Bidders must demonstrate experience with similar bus maintenance equipment systems and possess the necessary certifications and insurance requirements. The procurement does not indicate any specific small business set-asides, though California state contracting preferences may apply. OCTA retains the right to award to the bidder offering the best value based on technical merit and pricing, with no incumbent contractor identified in the solicitation. Funding is sourced through OCTA's capital budget for fleet maintenance infrastructure improvements.
