About this file

This is a Utility Relocation Schedule (URS) document from Tampa Electric Company (TECO) submitted to Hillsborough County for the CR 584 (Waters Ave) at Florida Mining Blvd intersection improvements project. The document outlines the utility work requirements and coordination procedures for relocating TECO's 13.2 KV overhead electric facilities within the project limits. The project involves installing new poles and associated electrical infrastructure while removing existing facilities once new installations are energized and joint users have vacated the existing poles. Material procurement during county project construction is estimated at 14 calendar days. TECO requires a minimum of 30 calendar days advance notice to schedule any work related to the project, including line cover installation, outages, pole holding, and facility monitoring. The utility work schedule includes multiple phases of installation and removal activities for overhead electric lines, poles, and span guys, with work dependent upon completion of proposed pole installations and receipt of executed utility work schedules and notices to proceed.

Key operational constraints include that TECO line crews will not work in adverse weather conditions and normal work schedules are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding TECO-observed holidays. TECO's line crew availability may be limited due to emergency response requirements. The relocation schedule is contingent upon FDOT beginning construction within 12 months of the TECO representative's signature date; failure to commence construction within this timeframe will void the schedule and require resubmission based on current field conditions. TECO's project management contact is CSADMIN@TECOENERGY.COM, with field representatives Jason T. Payne (813-765-2494) and Robbie Nieman (813-635-6993) designated as primary contacts. An emergency number (877-588-1010) is provided for nights, weekends, and TECO holidays.
