About this file
This is a Utility Relocation Schedule (URS) document executed between Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa Water Department regarding intersection improvements at County Road 584 (Waters Avenue) at Florida Mining Boulevard. The project, identified by CIP Number 69600318 with plans dated May 2, 2025, involves the relocation, adjustment, and protection of water utility facilities within the project corridor. The utility work includes four primary tasks: removal of a 12-inch gate valve at Station 10+92.82, installation of a 12-inch gate valve at Station 11+22.25, removal of an 8-inch gate valve at Station 190+17.94, and installation of an 8-inch gate valve at Station 190+64.82. All utility work is scheduled to occur during county project construction with zero preliminary calendar days and zero calendar days of concurrent activity. The document was signed by the City of Tampa Water Department's authorized representative Randall C. Liuzzo on May 21, 2025, with county acceptance and final approval completed by Sandra Gonzalez, P.E., Section Manager on October 9, 2025.
The schedule establishes specific operational requirements and constraints for project execution. The City of Tampa requires receipt of the county-approved contractor's construction schedule via email to WaterUtilityCoordination@TampaGOV.net and mandates 1.5 weeks' advance written notification prior to work affecting water meter boxes, valve boxes, and related appurtenances. Material for valve box adjustments is available at 3901 East 26th Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33605, with delivery coordination required. The City identified blackout dates when water shutdowns and work cannot be performed: November 23 through December 7, 2024, and December 15, 2024 through January 5, 2025. All City of Tampa water appurtenances must be maintained in operational condition post-resurfacing and cannot be paved over or left in a state that would impede maintenance access. Emergency contact for the City of Tampa Water Department's 24-hour operations is (813) 274-7400.
