About this file
The document is a Proprietary Information Disclosure Form from Milwaukee County, designed to protect confidential and proprietary information submitted in response to a Request for Information. The form allows respondents to designate certain sections of their proposal as trade secrets or confidential material, with specific legal definitions provided for what qualifies as a trade secret under Wisconsin Statute 134.90(1)(c). The form requires respondents to specify which sections and pages they wish to keep confidential, with the understanding that prices are always considered public information.
The form includes important legal provisions where the respondent agrees to defend the confidentiality designation if challenged and holds Milwaukee County harmless from any potential damages arising from withholding materials. Failure to include this form means all submitted information may be subject to open examination and copying. The document provides a structured approach for businesses to protect sensitive information while maintaining transparency in the public procurement process, with clear guidelines on what can and cannot be considered confidential.
