About this file
This document provides details for a design-build solicitation to rehabilitate a levee at the Edinburg Pump Station in Hidalgo County, Texas. The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission is seeking proposals for design and construction services, which will generally consist of approximately 800 linear feet of levee improvements including earthen embankment, concrete floodwalls, and associated ramps. Major construction efforts include preparing right-of-way, excavating and stockpiling existing material, levee widening, erosion control, installing new floodwall and bollard wall sections, constructing floodwall foundations, replacing an existing gatewell structure, backfilling and grading embankment material, installing an aggregate roadway surface, removing and replacing fencing, and revegetation. The solicitation is negotiated with Phase One evaluating qualifications and Phase Two evaluating technical proposals. The response deadline for Phase One qualifications is May 24, 2021. Pricing proposals must include totals for two contract line items and a schedule of values.
