About this file
This document is the Project Specifications for the YOSE 196416 Rehabilitate El Portal Wastewater Treatment Facility and Administrative Camp project in Yosemite National Park, California.
The project consists of rehabilitating the 45-year-old 1 million gallon per day El Portal wastewater treatment facility, including constructing new treatment processes, rehabilitating the tertiary and dewatering processes, upgrading the electrical systems, and constructing new operations and maintenance facilities. The project also rehabilitates the El Portal Administrative Camp into a contractor camp and staging area, including demolition, utility improvements, and establishing a 150-foot riparian buffer.
The project is structured with a base contract and several optional contract line items, including SCADA upgrades, parking shade canopies, digester covers, and percolation pond rehabilitation. The project will be constructed under a single prime contract, with the contractor responsible for obtaining necessary permits and coordinating work under other separate contracts for activities like fuel reduction, utility relocations, and revegetation. The document provides detailed construction sequencing and phasing requirements for both the wastewater treatment facility and administrative camp components of the project.
