About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation to correct critical safety hazards and rehabilitate the Ahwahnee Hotel National Historic Landmark in Yosemite National Park. Key details include that the National Park Service is seeking proposals to seismic strengthen the hotel through structural upgrades such as installing new shear walls, footings, and structural steel bracing. Proposals are due on June 10th with work expected to include repairs to windows, chimneys, stonework and installation of spray foam insulation. Clarification was provided that subcontractor experience and key personnel may be included, temporary sewer lines are for coordination only, and cementitious fireproofing is required for existing but not new structural steel.
