About this file
This is an attachment document containing technical specifications and training requirements for Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) operation and programming as part of the Polebridge Water System rehabilitation project at Glacier National Park.
The document outlines mandatory training and certification requirements for personnel who will operate and program PLCs used in the water system infrastructure. Key requirements include hands-on training in PLC operation, programming fundamentals, troubleshooting procedures, and system integration specific to the water treatment and distribution systems being installed. The specification emphasizes the need for qualified technicians capable of performing routine maintenance, emergency response operations, and system modifications. Training must be provided by qualified instructors with documented PLC expertise, and trainees must demonstrate competency through practical assessments before assuming independent operational responsibilities. The attachment establishes performance standards for system reliability and operator proficiency to ensure the rehabilitated water system operates safely and efficiently. Additionally, the document specifies documentation requirements for training records, certification credentials, and as-built system configuration details that must be maintained for ongoing system management and regulatory compliance by Glacier National Park staff.
