Attachment 14 – Questions and Answers, Amendment 0004
Q1: General Note 2 on MD101 states to remove all ceiling tiles and accessories to perform HVAC work.
Protect tiles from damage and reinstall after all other work is completed. Damaged tiles and accessories are to be replaced with new matching components. Is the intent to remove only what is needed for new installation? Is the grid considered and accessory to be removed? This goes for all phases including 3&4, where the existing system and new system will be installed in the attic. The need to remove existing ceiling we be minimal because of this.
A1: The intent is to remove only what is necessary and reuse the grid if possible. Any damaged items shall be replaced.
