UNSPSC 39111527: Solar lighting fixture

UNSPSC 39111527 Solar lighting fixture is a Commodity code covering the procurement of complete solar-powered lighting units by state and local governments. Recent solicitations show purchasing agencies acquiring standalone solar lighting systems for outdoor applications—parking lots, sports complexes, pathways, and facility grounds—where self-contained power generation and LED illumination are required. State and local governments soliciting under this code include counties (Sarasota, Orange, Lee, Montgomery, Cobb), cities (Bartow, Dunwoody, Phoenix, West Jordan, Charlotte, Fairburn, South Fulton), school districts (Northside Independent School District, Bibb County Public Schools), and transit authorities (Trinity Metro, Orange County Transportation Authority). Recent opportunities span design-build procurements for solar lighting systems, purchases of specific solar lighting fixtures and components, and inclusive electrical or lighting supply agreements where solar-powered units represent one category among broader product families.

Activity concentrates in the South (Florida, Georgia, Texas) and West (Arizona, Utah, California), with representation across municipal, county, and special-purpose jurisdictions. Representative recent opportunities include Sarasota County's Quick Quote for 45 LED lighted silhouette pole-mount decorations (Response due July 23, 2026), the City of Bartow's RFP for a comprehensive solar lighting system for a sport complex parking lot (RFP2609, due April 1, 2026), Montgomery County, Texas's IFB for Porter Park Phase 1 site development including an optional alternate for 22 solar-powered area lighting fixtures (due February 18, 2026), and Cobb County Facilities Management's RFP for professional design and consulting services for a solar photovoltaic canopy at a parking deck (due February 26, 2026). The code also captures broader lighting supply and maintenance work—the Orange County Transportation Authority's renewal RFQ for lighting supplies at four OCTA facilities (due June 11, 2026) and Northside Independent School District's IFB for electrical equipment, parts, supplies, rentals, repairs, and services (due July 1, 2026). Procurement methods vary from design-build and design services RFPs to straightforward purchase quotes and supply agreements, with contract values ranging from under $50,000 for material purchases to $3.4 million for engineered solar systems on large municipal facilities.
