Administrative Supplements to Promote Diversity in Research and Development Small Businesses SBIR/STTR (Admin Supp Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are offering administrative supplements to small businesses holding Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants. The purpose is to improve the diversity of the research workforce by recruiting and supporting underrepresented students, postdoctoral scholars, and eligible investigators. This opportunity is also available to Principal Investigators who are or become disabled and need additional support. The grants must support work within the scope of the original project, and proposals should not involve leading an independent clinical trial. Typical award values are not specified, but the program is open to small businesses only. The research is expected to be conducted at the facilities of the recipient organizations across the United States.
