About this opportunity
The City of St. Petersburg is requesting bids on janitorial supplies to be stocked at the Consolidated Warehouse and distributed to City Departments on an as-needed basis under IFB #26-325, with proposals due October 20, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. and questions due October 1, 2026.
The solicitation spans 68 line items across cleaning products, trash cans and liners, tissue products, and miscellaneous janitorial items such as mops, brooms, brushes, dispensers, and lubricants. Vendors must be registered with the Florida Division of Corporations, possess a minimum of one year's experience providing industrial and janitorial supplies, furnish three customer references, and maintain required insurance coverage including $1,000,000 commercial general liability per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. Delivery to the Consolidated Warehouse at 327 17th Street North, St. Petersburg, Florida, must occur within seven business days of purchase order receipt. Vendors must maintain minimum inventory levels throughout the contract term. Substitutions are prohibited on line items marked "No Substitutes"; the City reserves the right to test products and request samples for alternatives on other items.
The City will award contracts by line item to the lowest responsive and responsible vendor and may split awards across multiple vendors. The initial contract term is three years from execution, with the City holding an option to renew for two additional one-year periods under the same terms and conditions, subject to mutual written agreement. Unit prices remain firm during the initial twelve months; thereafter, either party may request adjustments with written justification.
Bid bonds of 5% of total bid price are required. The City reserves the right to award on a split-order, lump-sum, or individual item basis and may reject all submissions or parts thereof in its sole discretion. No pre-proposal conference is scheduled. Submissions are made via the OpenGov Procurement portal.
