About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking competitive sealed bids, proposals, or replies for the marketing of Florida's Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS), also known as FL511. The scope of services includes developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan, creating educational and outreach materials, attending conferences and meetings, conducting focus groups and surveys, and submitting research reports and award applications. The contract term is anticipated to begin on September 5, 2022 and run through September 4, 2025, with the possibility of renewal. The RFP outlines a pricing structure that includes a combination of lump sum deliverables and labor/materials deliverables. FDOT will evaluate proposals based on the technical proposal (100 points) and the price proposal (10 points), with the vendor receiving the highest cumulative score being awarded the contract. Key deadlines include April 12, 2022 for proposal submission and April 26, 2022 for the selection meeting.
The RFP encourages the participation of minority, women, and service-disabled veteran businesses. The current contractor, Sonshine Communications, is eligible to bid on the new contract and has a $1 million annual budget for the existing marketing effort. The new contract will have a $950,000 annual budget. The marketing plan is expected to be informed by research conducted under the current contract, and the timeline allows 15 days to submit the initial marketing plan after the start of the new contract.
