The bid sum must include all applicable taxes, bond costs, and a miscellaneous allowance of $25,250 for patch and extension cables.
Bid security of five percent of the total bid amount (as certified check or Michigan-licensed bid bond) is required with submission. The selected contractor will provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100 percent of the bid amount. Computer equipment warranty covers three years on all parts and labor, with an optional four-year alternate; installation workmanship warranty is 120 days. The contractor must deliver MDM administrator training for up to three staff members and help desk training for up to ten personnel.
Work commences in November 2026 with substantial completion by December 2026 and project close-out in January 2027. Contractor selection is anticipated for September 22, 2026. Insurance requirements include workers' compensation with statutory coverage, comprehensive general liability at $1,000,000 per occurrence, automobile liability, and contingent liability and property damage policies. Bidders must submit references for at least three comparable projects completed within the prior two years and comply with Michigan familial relationship disclosure and Iran Linked Business affidavit requirements.
