About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Health (DOH) is seeking proposals for a COVID Health Equity Media Services contract. The DOH is requesting marketing, advertising, production, and media buying services to create a community-wide awareness media campaign to address the effects of COVID-19 and health equity for communities adversely impacted in Miami-Dade County. The successful respondent will be responsible for developing and implementing an advertising plan, media buying, and creating collateral materials within specific timeframes. The RFP was advertised on January 25, 2022, and proposals are due by February 25, 2022. The evaluation of proposals is anticipated to occur on March 1, 2022, and the intent to award is expected to be posted on March 15, 2022. The contract will have a one-year term, and the cost proposal is worth 50 points (33% of the total score).
The RFP does not indicate any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. There is no incumbent vendor, and the contract is funded through federal grant funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The total budget for this RFP is $3.5 million. Vendors are prohibited from using subcontractors, though translation services are not considered subcontracting. The DOH will provide access to existing materials, but the selected vendor will be responsible for any necessary translations.
