About this opportunity

The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is seeking sealed bids for a Bucket Conveyor System, specifically a replacement TipTrak bucket elevator belt assembly (Unitrak TipTrak TT500 Black Bucket/Belt assembly or approved equivalent). The procurement is for a non-construction equipment replacement, with specifications requiring the new system to replace the existing bucket belt without equipment modifications. Bidders must submit a lump sum price and provide guaranteed delivery days from order placement, with bids being accepted until Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. CST at the District office located at 1610 Moorland Road in Madison, Wisconsin. Questions regarding the procurement must be submitted by Monday, June 17, 2024, and directed to Matthew Rodenkirch via phone at 608-770-7303 or email at MatthewR@madsewer.org. The evaluation criteria will focus on the lowest lump sum bid from a responsive, responsible bidder who meets all specifications, with the District reserving the right to reject any or all proposals. Bidders must use the specified bid form and provide technical capacity and design data for any proposed equivalent systems.

The procurement appears to be open to all qualified vendors without specific set-aside designations or restrictions on organizational types. No information is provided about incumbent vendors or existing technology integration requirements. The document does not specify a precise budget range or award value for the Bucket Conveyor System. The District is federal and state tax exempt, and payment will be made within 30 days of receipt of properly submitted invoices after materials are shipped. The procurement covers a specific serial number (S/N 139406, Item number 19/6100) for the bucket elevator belt assembly, indicating a precise replacement need. All bid responses and their contents will be considered public records, and only formal written addenda can materially alter the specifications. Interested vendors should carefully review the complete bidding documents available on the district website at https://www.madsewer.org/contracting-center/ prior to submission.
