Mr. Antoine Jackson Project Manager - USACE New Orleans District

RE: USACE Tracking #: 247604 8936 Mier Road, Gueydan, La 70542 Vermilion Parish

Mr. Jackson:

ECM Consultants conducted a site assessment of the above referenced home-site.on November 6, 2019. The following is our analysis of the property.

8936 Mier Road is a one-story wood framed structure on elevated concrete piers (see Photos #9, 10 & 11). It is approximately 1,720 square feet. The exterior wall finish is vinyl siding and there is a metal roof. There is a carport at the side of the building supported on metal posts (see Photos 5, 6 & 7). The roof flashing will need to be detached and the posts will need to be addressed during the elevation process. The front porch (see Photos 5 & 8) will need to be part of the elevation process.

The wood deck at the rear of the home (see Photos 21 & 22) could be detached from the main structure prior to the elevation process. The roof covering is attached through the vinyl siding. The vinyl siding will need to be modified if this canopy is removed.

Typical utility connections will need to be detached, then reattached after the elevation process.

After reviewing all the documentation, it appears the house framing is satisfactory for the elevation process.

Following this letter are the survey analysis documentation and the building assessment field documentation verifying the findings. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

Very truly yours, N. Guy Williams Project Architect
