About this file
This Technical Exhibit is a detailed guide for using the Maximo Log/QA Tab for the 88th RD SLC Region's maintenance contract. The document provides specific instructions for contractors to enter Quality Control (QC) inspection results for Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance work orders. Key procedural requirements include:
Contractors must enter QC inspection results in the Log/QA tab of the Maximo system, using specific data entry processes. Two primary note types are defined: "Client Notes" for recording equipment delays and work completion concerns (which do not replace direct communication), and "QA/QC Notes" for documenting work order reviews per contract guidelines. The exhibit emphasizes that while notes can be added, they do not automatically change work order status, and the Engineering Team (ET) must manually adjust the work order status to either return it to the contractor or approve it for closure.

PWS Technical Exhibit 5 88TH RD SLC Region Maximo Log/QA Tab
Page 1 of 1 10 January 2025
For all Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance selected for Quality Control (QC) inspection, the Contractor shall enter the QC inspection results in the Log/QA tab in Maximo.
Once you are in the Log/QA tab after hitting new row most of the data will populate. Depending on if you are adding a comment for QA/QC or adding a client note. You must click on the magnifying glass in the type field. This will bring up the options you can select for which of these events you need to comment for See list below.
** Client Note can be used to note Equipment delays and other concerns the contractor wants to note that affect completion of work on time. This however does not replace an Email/Phone call to the 88th.
***QA/QC Notes for work orders the Contractor/ ET have reviewed per contract guidelines. This tab alone will not return the work order to the Contractor if concerns are noted. ET will still need to change to the appropriate status that suits the review they have made (return to contractor or Approved for closure)
