Q1. Clarification needed on NTP issuance timing: The amendment mentions August/September 2023, but answer #8 indicates September/October 2023.
Please confirm the accurate timeframe for issuing the Notice to Proceed.
A1. Issuance of Notice to Proceed is anticipated to occur in September/October 2023.
Q2. Extension request for 41-day work window: Due to project constraints (draft limitations, low cut thickness, narrow cuts, bridge tolerances and limited paid overdepth), we request an extension to conduct the necessary technical dredging required for project completion.
A2. The required production rate for this contract will remain at 1,500CY/day, therefore the performance period will remain 41 calendar days.
Q3. Postponement request for bid date: We respectfully ask for a postponement of the bid date by four days to July 28th to allow sufficient time for evaluating responses to these inquiries. Your consideration is highly appreciated.
A3. The bid opening will be extended to 26 July 2023.
Q4. The bid documents amount to 1.5 GB of data, and thousands of pages of analytical information on the soil analysis. Potential suppliers for disposal of the material are requesting more time in order to adequately analyze acceptability of the material. Would USACE extend the bid deadline by at least 2 days in order to accommodate the additional time needed to formulate an accurate estimate?
A4. The bid opening will be extended to 26 July 2023.
