Section 01 32 00 and 01 45 00.Para. 3.3.2.11 states that a definable feature of work is defined in spec section 01 45 00. However, upon review of section 01 45 00, there are no DFOW contained nor is there a definition of the work. Please provide a list or definition of the definable features of work for the project .
See AM-0007, Section 01 45 00. The Contractor shall develop the DFOW list from the construction documents.
Section 07 81 000 paragraph 2.1.1.3 lists a cohesion/adhesion strength of both 10,000 psf and 1,000 psf. Please clarify the required cohesion/adhesion strength required.
Both are required. Contractor shall comply with Section 07 81 00 Paragraph 2.1.1.3.
Drawing IN601 lists a Floor Finish Code of SCONC for Sealed Concrete with Color to Match PNT-7. Please provide product specification as no indication of such a product appears in Section 03 31 00.00 10 Cast-in-Place Structural Concrete, 09 90 00 Paints and Coatings or 09 96 00 High-Performance Coatings.
See Specification Section 03 33 00 Cast-in-Place Architectural Concrete, Paragraphs 2.1.3 and 3.5.
Per drawing IG601, the signage legend calls out for Type "L" ABA Restroom sign.
However, it is not called out for in the signage schedule or the interior signage drawings.
Please advise any location where sign type "L" is to be mounted.
See AM-0007, sheets IG202 and IG601.
Contract drawing sheet number EP143 note 2 directs coordination with furniture floor plans via sheet number IF401. Sheet number IF401 is not included in IFC submission.
Please issue sheet IF401.
See AM-0007, sheets EP122, EP123, EP132, EP133, EP142, EP143, EP152, and EP153.
According to note #3 on the panel schedules ‘E2MH1’ & ‘E2ML1’, shown on drawing EP702, there is work associated with a bid option #2 regarding GFGI equipment. The bid form included with the Solicitation only as a bid option #1. Please clarify if there is work associated with a Bid Option #2.
See AM-0005, sheet EP702. Bid Option #2 has been deleted.
Specification Section 10 21 13 Toilet Compartments paragraph 2.2.2 calls for urinal screens. All urinals are blocked by tile walls on each side, and urinal screens are not called out anywhere in the drawings. Please advise if urinal screens are to be installed.

Drawing A433 calls out for a 32"W x 42"D grab bar per Toilet Room Keynote #22. This grab bar is not called out in any of the drawings. Please provide location and quantity of 32"W x 42"D grab bars.
See AM-0007, sheet A433.
Specification Section 10 28 13 Toilet Accessories paragraph 2.2.10 calls out for Shelf, Metal, Heavy Duty (SMHD). Detail D4/A431 shows a SMHD in the 2nd Floor Janitor's Closet. Please advise if a SMHD is to be installed in the Janitor's Closet on floors 3-5 as well.
See AM-0007, sheet A431.
Spec section 31 63 26 calls for vibrating concrete full depth of caisson; do not use rebar vibrators (Part 3.6L). ACI only recommends the top 5' of shaft be vibrated. Please clarify/ confirm this requirement.
Follow contract specifications.
Related with “AWT-4” on the finish legend on drawing IN601, normally AWT-4 Acoustical Wall Panels are composed of Semi- Rigid fiberglass board, and an impact resistant top coat is added in order to be impact resistant. However, the legend indicates that the material should have Micore 300 board, which we assume is used for “TKWC-1”, not “AWT-4”. Please clarify it.
See AM-0007, sheet IN601.
Reference: Spec Section 31 63 26 – Part 3.6 Installation – Paragraph I. reads; "Vibrate concrete for full depth of caisson. Do not use rebar vibrators." However ACI only recommends that the top 5' of the shaft be vibrated. Please advise if concrete vibrating for full depth of caisson can be waived and limit vibration to top 5’ of shaft in compliance with ACI requirement.
Follow contract specifications.
Drawing S123 Note 12 states “Bid Option 2 is the provision of the disintegrator unit and the hard drive shredder equipment…” Please verify that the disintegrator equipment is part of the base bid. Please verify that the hard drive shredder equipment is not part of the contract. If the hard drive shredder equipment is to be included, please provide the required specification.
See AM-0007, sheet S123.
Drawings A321 – A331 show a concrete curb at the building perimeter under the windows. A detail for this curb is not provided on the structural drawings.

Section 13 27 54.00 10 paragraph 2.2.1.1 lists three acceptable products. Two of the three listed products are no longer manufactured – 3M RE35AMARAL and Madico CI1000. Please provide alternate acceptable products that are currently available.
Contractor shall comply with Section 13 27 54.00 10 Paragraph 2.2.1.1.
Per Section 099000, Page 5, 1.3.2 states that painting subcontractors shall have SSPC QP1 certified. In Hawaii, very few painting/coating subcontractors are SSPC QP1 certified, and because of the requirement, majority of local painting/coating subcontractors are declining to bid on this project, which ultimately cause very inflated cost. Please re-consider applying this requirement to this project.
See AM-0007, Section 09 90 00.
