Questions and Answers for Solicitation W564KV20R0014

Question: Is it possible to repair and cannibalize the appliances at the contractors owned repair facility? This facility would be in close proximity to the respective garrison.
This would make spare parts management easier and would increase efficiency (e.g.
avoiding traffic during rush hour)
Answer: It is currently not possible for the appliances to be repaired or cannibalized at the contractors repair facility under this current requirement. The movement of appliances from the customers’ homes is under a different contract and performed by a different contractor. The current, only, authorized location for that movement is to the various Furnishings Management Offices/Troop Buildings/Customers Homes under the contract. Efficiency in repair could be lowering the amount of movement required (repairing at customers’ homes with spare parts in van) and conducting many sequential appointments in the same general locations.
Question: As the SPOC will make the appointments with the customers (except Stuttgart), how many appointments are given for the morning and afternoon time frame per one technician on average
Answer: The number of appointments given currently varies based upon the number of work orders being processed in the time-frames outlined within the performance work statement. The government has provided the total number of work orders (by location type) on average, the establishment of appointments and staffing to meet the average number of work orders is a judgement call of the vendor/contractor and will be reflected in the technical approach.
