About this file
This document contains a questions and answers file and federal contract opportunity related to an F-35 repair project at Building 420. The questions and answers file provides clarification on hardware conflicts and specifications in the drawings, control sequences for chilled and hot water systems, and acoustic wall panel details. The federal contract opportunity is an unrestricted invitation for bid for construction services to repair Building 420 at Dane County Regional Airport - Truax Field in Madison, Wisconsin to support the 115th Fighter Wing's F-35 mission. Services include modifications to maintenance and administrative spaces as well as providing warm storage for aircraft maintenance equipment. The base award is for construction services with an option for communication equipment and cabling. The pre-bid conference will be held on-site with the bid opening following standard FAR and DFARS procedures. The contract is for 180 days with a value between $1-5 million. The NAICS code is 236220 and size standard is $45 million. The solicitation, plans and specifications are available on SAM.gov and the Department of the Army National Guard is the contracting agency.

1.
Hardware sets on the plan page have conflicts with the hardware sets in the specs as provided.
o There is not a keynote included to indicate what the T or C attached to the hardware # on the door schedule is meant to indicate. Could these letters be treated as entry errors?
o After removing the T or C from the hardware sets on the plan page there is conflicts with hardware numbers not being provided in the spec set list as indicated on the plan page door schedule ‐ upon trying to use the spec sheet sets and listed opening numbers, some of the openings door numbers in the spec listed sets are duplicated or conflict with other details.
BKG: Doors 115, 121, 124, 138 revise to hardware set 201.
Door 135B revise to hardware set 731R. Door and frame 135B are also to be revised to 45-minute rated door assembly.

There are flow schematics shown for the chilled water system (M601) and hot water system (M602) On the chilled water system, the one pump (CWP-1) is scheduled to be furnished with integral VFD and integral sensor for controlling VFD speed.
There is no BAS points list or control sequence for the chilled water system, so wondering about the function of the DPT sensor shown and how the bypass valve is to be controlled.
For the hot water system, a flow meter is scheduled and wondering if the measured flow is just for showing on a hot water workstation graphic.
The bypass valve shall modulate as required to ensure minimum allowable chiller flow by maintaining the minimum chiller differential setpoint as sensed by the DPT sensor. The chiller minimum differential pressure setpoint is the pressure that correlates to slightly more than the minimum evaporator flow for teh chiller per manufacturers data. The DPT setpoint shall be adjustable through the BAS.
Hot water flow meter is intended to verify flow on hot water workstation graphic. Flow meter should also connect to BAS to send alarm if boiler is enabled but no flow is sensed after 45 second (adj) delay and shall lock out boiler control sequence until heater water system flow is verified by flow meter.

In open office 132, dwg IN101 calls for acoustic wall panels on the east wall however there is not an elevation to show these panels. Please clarify what the size and number of panels are on this wall and if it is AWP 1 or AWP2 on this wall.
TLW: Open Office 132 East Wall to have AWP2; Match spacing and height of West Wall
