Project Overview This project seeks to renovate/repair the existing building 420 to be compatible with the F-35 mission, enabling capabilities to support the 115th Maintenance Group. Building 420 will require changes and upgrades to the existing systems and spaces within the facility to provide adequate maintenance spaces on base for the F-35 Unit Conversion. The existing aircraft organization shop maintenance (warm storage), and weapons system management flight (admin) need to be modified and right-sized to accommodate changes from the F-16 to the F-35 mission. As a result of the unit conversion, avionics previously occupied the space in building 420 but the facility is being converted to house the Maintenance Group leadership and administrative staff as well as Lockheed Martin contract personnel. Building 420 will also provide “warm” storage capability for aircraft maintenance equipment (AME). This project will be registered with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). All work will be in accordance with design requirements, specifications, and drawings provided within the master specifications. This solicitation will result in a single construction contract.
