About this file
This document provides specifications for medium voltage cables and accessories for the Repair/Upgrade Base Electrical Distribution System project at the Vermont Air National Guard Base. Key requirements include furnishing and installing 15kV grounded aluminum concentric stranded cable with XLPE insulation, separable elbow connectors rated for 15kV and 200A, surge arrestors, modular cable terminations, and cold shrink inline splices. Acceptable manufacturers are specified for cables and accessories. Installation requirements outline preparations including conduit cleaning, lubrication for pulling cables, maintaining tension and bending radii, grounding cable shields, and arranging cables in manholes. Field testing and inspections are to be conducted according to NETA ATS standards.
