About this file

This document is an architectural site plan for a covered parking facility construction project at Jefferson Barracks, Building 41, located at 41 May Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125. The project involves the design and construction of parking canopies with associated infrastructure improvements.

The scope of work includes construction of two canopies (North and West) designed to cover 10 parking stalls per canopy, each measuring approximately 118'-10½" in length with varying width dimensions. The canopies feature photovoltaic (PV) panel systems as the primary roof covering, with support structures requiring exposed steel finished with AESS3 primer and paint. General construction requirements include ADA compliance, adherence to local, state, and federal building codes, saw-cutting and excavation of existing asphalt for new footings, removal and repainting of parking lot striping, LED lighting mounted to purlins, and painting of exposed concrete footings safety yellow. The contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary building permits and field-verifying existing conditions, including protection of two existing power poles during construction. Four alternates are provided: Alternate 2 offers waterproof duplex receptacles at specified columns; Alternate 3 allows deletion of the PV panel system in favor of standing seam metal roof; and Alternate 4 provides gutter and downspout installation. Contractor responsibilities encompass all labor, material, equipment, hazardous materials identification, site restoration, and compliance with safe working practices to prevent damage to adjacent spaces and facilities. The drawings are preliminary for review purposes, dated July 2, 2024, and include Addendum 1 dated July 24, 2026.
