About this file

Summary

This document is a utilities requirements specification provided by Stewarts Mobile Concepts, Ltd. for their Model CPK-500/D-500 Mobile Dishwashing Trailer in support of the Idaho Division of Juvenile Corrections' procurement of mobile kitchen equipment for the Juvenile Correction Center in Nampa. The specification outlines the infrastructure and utility connections necessary to operate the mobile dishwashing unit, which is one component of a three-unit mobile kitchen solution (including a mobile kitchen and mobile storage unit) required due to an upcoming construction project that will render the existing kitchen unavailable after April 3, 2024. The total procurement value is $218,710 based on the lowest quote from U.S. Mobile Kitchens, with the anticipated contract term of up to six months and possible extension. The response deadline was February 13, 2024, and the procurement was posted February 8, 2024. The agency requested a one-time exemption from competitive bidding due to the urgent timeline and imminent kitchen unavailability.

The utilities requirements document specifies that locally licensed professionals must install all connections, including a 220v/3-phase/200-amp electrical service, a minimum 120-gallon propane tank, fresh water supply via 3/4-inch garden hose connection, and waste water removal via either a 3-inch PVC pipe stub to a nearby sewer with grease trap or an approved waste tank system of 250-500 gallons each. The lessee (Idaho Division of Juvenile Corrections) is responsible for providing a dry, level, compact ground surface capable of supporting 50,000 pounds total weight, maintaining a minimum 14-foot unobstructed height clearance, supplying a commercial delivery route, and obtaining all necessary permits, licenses, and fees from local health departments, fire marshals, and building inspectors. Additionally, standard insurance requirements include commercial general liability, commercial automobile liability, workers' compensation, and employer's liability insurance with minimum coverage limits and additional insured provisions for the State of Idaho.

Model CPK-500/D-500 Trailer Uti l i t ies Requirements

Locally l icensed professionals including electrician, plumber, and local propane gas supplier must install al l uti l i t ies and connections.

Please see the supplied floor plan for all the utility tie-in locations.

Electrical Supply: The trailer requires 220v/3Phase/200 Amps of service. (5 wire, Wye-type wiring configuration) is required for this unit) Lessee’s electrician will hard wire the trailer’s service panel to Lessee’s main power source. Lessee’s electrician will supply all necessary cable and wiring needed for connection.

Propane LP Vapor Gas: A minimum 120 gallon tank is recommended.

Lessee will coordinate with a local gas company for the gas supply. The gas company will install the tank to the trailer’s single point of connection and test for proper operation.

Fresh Water Supply: The Mobile Unit has (1) standard garden hose/fresh water hose 3/4 inch fitting for fresh water connection. Lessee will supply a fresh water connection with standard city water pressure to insure the proper operation of the leased equipment. We highly recommend Lessee to utilize White “RV style” potable drinking water hoses to connect to the trailer.

Waste water removal: Lessee shall have the option to handle waste water removal in two (2) ways. The recommended option is for Lessee’s plumber set up an approved waste line to (1) 3” PVC pipe stub available below the trailer, with grease trap to drain into a nearby sewer. If this is not an option, Lessee may elect to have a local cesspool company or other provider install approved waste tanks that are approximately 250-500 gallons each in a series of 4 or more. In this situation the waste tanks will need to be pumped daily or weekly or pumped to the estimated needs of the Lessee during the term of the lease.

Dishwashing soap and chemical supplies: Lessee will need to coordinate with their local Ecolab supplier for any needed soaps and chemical supplies required to operate the leased equipment properly during the lease period. There are chemical dispensers currently installed in the trailer.

Site Condit ions: Lessee is responsible to provide a Dry, Level Compact Ground Surface suitable to hold a combined total weight of the dishwashing trailer and tractor (50,000 pounds). If footings, cribbing, block and leveling, anchoring, craning or other handling of the leased equipment is required to properly set up the leased equipment, Lessee must notify Owner of these site conditions prior to engaging into this agreement. Lessee will be responsible for all costs and expenses associated with the proper licensed professionals to setup and tear down the leased equipment. A minimum of 14’ unobstructed Height Clearance above the entire Tractor and Trailer combination is also required to maneuver, park, and setup the trailer, and is also Lessee's responsibility. The Lessee is also responsible to supply a commercial delivery route to the drop off location that can handle the weight, height and size requirements of the tractor and trailer combination.

The client is responsible for all permits, licenses, and fees. It is your responsibility to contact your Local Health Department, Fire Marshal, Building Inspectors, etc.

and obtain the necessary permits and licenses to operate the dishwashing trailer during your lease period. We suggest that you notify them well in advance to let them know of your project situation and find out if they have any special requirements.
