About this file
This is a Question and Responses document from the Idaho Division of Juvenile Corrections (IDJC) related to an exemption from competition for the procurement of mobile kitchen, mobile dishwashing, and mobile storage units for the Juvenile Correction Center in Nampa. The solicitation, issued as RFQ 275, was posted on February 8, 2024, with a response deadline of February 13, 2024. The procurement is time-sensitive due to an upcoming construction project that will render the existing kitchen unavailable after April 3, 2024. The anticipated contract term is up to six months with possible extension. The document confirms that respondents must complete and submit a signed signature page matching their Supplier Profile information, read and understand the Solicitation Instructions for Vendors and the RFQ document, agree to the state's terms and conditions, confirm that offered property meets all specifications detailed in Exhibit A, and acknowledge understanding of insurance requirements prior to submission.
The lowest quote received was $218,710 from U.S. Mobile Kitchens, establishing the total procurement value. The solicitation required respondents to submit a Lease Quote document and confirm compliance with detailed specifications or provide written justification for any deviations. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, commercial automobile liability, workers' compensation, and employer's liability insurance with minimum coverage limits and additional insured provisions naming the State of Idaho. No set-asides are designated for this procurement. The Division of Purchasing offered suppliers an opportunity to submit information supporting or contesting the exemption from competition claim, with submissions accepted through the IPRO system or email at purchasing@adm.idaho.gov prior to the closing date.

The Insurance Requirements for this solicitation are detailed in the main RFQ Document.
Suppliers that do not currently hold the type/level of insurance required are strongly encouraged to contact an insurance representative to obtain a quote prior to submitting a Quote. An awarded contractor’s inability to obtain the required insurance may be grounds for termination of the contract for cause and may affect the evaluation of that supplier’s responsibility on future sourcing events. Confirm your understanding of this requirement.
