About this file

This document contains electrical installation and wiring instructions for a pump system with hardwired power connections.

The pump requires individual power conductors connected directly to a constant power source matching the voltage specified on the pump nameplate, with no power cord or electrical plug. The pump must be wired to its own dedicated circuit with no other electrical receptacles or equipment, and cannot be connected to devices that run intermittently such as fans. The fuses or circuit breaker must have adequate capacity, and a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) circuit is required if mandated by local code. Wire connections must be made within a junction box in compliance with the National Electrical Code, with color coding specified as green/yellow for ground, brown for line, and blue for line (230V) or neutral (115V). Some models include a stripped wire cord end. A conduit connector for 1/2" flexible metal conduit is provided, and all individual electrical conductors must be placed inside approved electrical conduit material such as FMC (flexible metal conduit) in accordance with local and national electrical codes. The document includes a wiring diagram labeled "GOOD" depicting the proper configuration for a 208/230V 3-phase 60 Hz system with dual breakers, transmission cables, and remote controller connections.
