About this file

This requirements description and federal contract opportunity outline requirements for the redesign and production of AN/ALQ-161A power supplies. The requirements description seeks proposals to redesign the power supply assembly to address obsolescence, break it into multiple new national stock numbers to facilitate maintenance, and develop a full technical data package. Prototypes and qualification units are required, along with associated testing and technical order updates. The notional schedule includes a requirements review in two months, preliminary design review in six months, and first article qualification testing completed in 20 months. The federal contract opportunity is a draft request for proposal for a multiple award indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract worth an estimated $800 million over ten years to provide power supply solutions ranging from low voltage to 20kV for various military aircraft. Initial requirements include three national stock numbers for power supplies with estimated quantities provided. The response date for questions on the draft request for proposal is March 18, 2019.
