About this file
This procurement file contains a product specification sheet for the WES4 Series wireless ethernet system, a 5GHz IEEE 802.11a/n/ac compliant remote IP device designed for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications by KBC Networks. The specification document details a system capable of delivering up to 400 Mbps throughput in long-range wireless transmission suitable for applications including megapixel IP camera networks, remote gate access, surveillance systems, building-to-building network extensions, and solar power locations. The WES4 units feature Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, configurable firmware for host or client modes, IP66 protection class rating, and integrated directional antennas available in 9 dBi or 17 dBi options. The system supports IEEE 802.3 af/at/bt or passive 48Vdc power over ethernet (PoE), includes wall or pole-mountable hardware, and provides secure transmission through WPA2-AES or TKIP encryption. Multiple regional variants are available, including models for North America (FCC), EMEA (CE), and Australia, with part numbers ranging from single radio units (WES4-AX-CF, WES4-AX-BF) to pre-configured point-to-point kits (WES4-KT). The device measures 292mm x 152mm x 89mm, weighs 0.82kg for the 17 dBi unit, and achieves latency of 100,000 hours with selectable 20 or 40MHz channel bandwidth.
The specification sheet indicates the WES4 system meets multiple international standards including FCC Part 15 Subpart C Class B for North America and CE Class B for Europe, with compliance to electromagnetic immunity and interference directives (EN 55024, EN 55022, EN 60950, and R&TT Directive 1999/5/EC). The system operates in the 5GHz frequency band with frequency ranges of 5180-5240MHz and 5745-5825MHz for USA and Canada, and 5500-5700MHz for Europe, featuring transmit power control up to 30dBm maximum output. KBC Networks provides quick start instructions with online access to operations manuals and weather-proof connectors as standard inclusions. A power injection module (WES4-PIM) is available as an optional addition since power supplies are not included with the radio units. The specification notes that ongoing technological improvements may result in changes to product specifications without notice, and KBC makes no warranty regarding product conformance to the descriptions provided.

Product Description The WES4 Wireless Ethernet System is the latest generation wireless transmission system that is IEEE802.11a/n/ac compliant and operates in the license-free, 5GHz band.
Featuring new Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, 400 Mbps of throughput is now achievable in long range point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications. WES4 is ideal for constant streaming video to enable a network of stand-alone video cameras to remotely connect to an otherwise disconnected internet source without the need for cost-prohibitive trenching. Simply pair two or more WES4 radios (also available in pre-configured point-to-point kits) for long range connectivity. Since the WES4 firmware is configurable for mode type (Host or Client) and offers auto SSID selection, it is also possible to adapt it to connect to a 3rd party 802.11a/n/ac compliant access point.
The WES4 units are wall or pole-mountable with the included hardware.
