About this file
This document is an Exhibit "B" Special Conditions document for Volusia County's Tax Collector Interior Renovations and Restoration project, specifically Contract No. C-2038. The special conditions outline critical operational requirements for the contractor, including working hours, site logistics, security protocols, coordination expectations, and project management guidelines. The document provides detailed instructions covering eight key areas: working hours and noise restrictions, site logistics and storage, security requirements, coordination requirements, protection of existing facilities, clean-up requirements, permits and inspections, and project documentation.
The special conditions emphasize minimizing disruption to an active, occupied County building, with specific requirements such as coordinating large-scale activities around existing county schedules, maintaining secure tools and work areas, complying with County security protocols, and ensuring daily clean-up of work areas. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining necessary permits, scheduling inspections, maintaining on-site documentation, and providing as-built documentation upon project completion. Additional requirements include protecting existing facilities, maintaining clear emergency egress paths, and meeting the County's final cleaning standards prior to project acceptance.
