Introduction 1 Please provide a schedule of estimated number of units that will be replaced by Band by Year, if possible.
The resultant contracts issued from this RFP will be multiple award indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contracts (IDIQ). As such, the Government is unable to provide an estimated number of units replaced yearly by band. However, the Government has provided an estimated number of devices that will be replaced during the life of the resultant multiple award IDIQs on page 1 of the Statement of Work
(SOW).

General 3 Is it the Government’s intent to conduct a Reverse Auction for each individual product replacement, or is it the Government’s intention to bundle each location into a single Reverse Auction?
It is the Government’s intent to hold reverse auctions (RA) as Government requirements are submitted to DCSO – P New Cumberland for competition. Each RA could have multiple volume bands and delivery locations to include option years to cover future maintenance on those ordered devices.

8 Is initial training and analyst cost to be included in the base price configuration for each CLIN?
The vendor’s proposed cost for each device shall include the initial training costs to include any other vendor costs for the initial installation for each device ordered.
Note, Attachment 3 – CLIN Structure does include a separately priced CLIN located under the “Additional Equipment/Software Purchase” section for additional training that the Government can utilize to fulfill SOW paragraph 7.3 requirements.

Yes, in accordance with (IAW) FAR 52.212-1(b)(4).

Government utilizes print files in numerous formats including native PDF and RDO formatted with specialized processing and job requirements such as tabs, page layouts, etc…

General What types of jobs are printed? The Government prints various types of documents for the Warfighter to include but not limited to: certificates, change of command programs, standard operating procedures, language courses, Special Warfare Library, etc.

TABS Is there any flexibility in the Duplex speed if the Simplex speeds are met for the Bands?
The duplex and simplex copies per minute shall meet at a minimum those specified in Attachment 2 Equipment Specifications spreadsheet.

Government has 2-3 operators
15 SF1449 Block 8 1 Please extend the solicitation close date from 3/12/2020 to two (2) weeks after the Government provides answers to vendor questions.
The Government will extend the close date of the RFP as it determines is necessary in order to facilitate time needed for the vendors to submit round 2 questions, the Government to process round 2 questions all the while giving vendors time to finalize their proposal submissions in response to the Government’s round 2 answers.

11.1 Removal of
Hard Drives

9 Given the technological advancements in HDD security (Encryption, password lock, etc) does the customer still require a removable HDD option? If so, how often will the HDD be removed and installed in the device?
Government requires RHD kits on the front-end controllers and PC’s.
Device will need to be removed whenever switch to classified mode in order to print and process classified jobs. A removable kit will also be required on the printer as well as any attached print controller.
