About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) is for the Regional Transportation District (RTD) in Denver, Colorado, detailing a comprehensive HVAC replacement project across three facilities: Elati Light Rail Facility, Mariposa Light Rail Facility, and the Security Command Center. The project involves removing and replacing various HVAC equipment, including three makeup air units, one hot water boiler, one air-cooled chiller, two Computer Room Cooling (CRAC) units, three data center inrow cooling units, and two rooftop heating and cooling units. Additional work includes upgrading structural supports, installing a humidification system, hot aisle/cold aisle separation strip curtains, replacing registers, and installing balance dampers. All new equipment must be compatible with the existing Johnson Controls, Inc. Building Automation System (JCI BAS).
The project requires the contractor to obtain all necessary permits, provide new materials with manufacturer warranties, and supply their own tools and equipment. Safety requirements include licensed crane operators, specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), a Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program, and coordination with RTD to deenergize overhead catenary system wires. The project will be fully commissioned, with the contractor supporting the commissioning agent in testing and providing required deliverables such as Operations and Maintenance Manuals, Test and Balance Reports, and As-built drawings. The document is dated February 7, 2025, suggesting this is a future planned infrastructure improvement project aimed at modernizing and maintaining RTD's HVAC systems across multiple facilities.
