About this file
This document is a SaaS (Software as a Service) Questionnaire Checklist designed to evaluate the security and operational capabilities of a potential software vendor. The checklist comprehensively covers five key areas of assessment: Data Access, Security, Segregation & Encryption; Backup/Disaster Recovery; User Training and Awareness; Security Monitoring and Logging; and Certification.
The questionnaire seeks detailed information about the vendor's security practices, including data encryption methods, authentication protocols, disaster recovery capabilities, staff security training, threat detection mechanisms, and compliance certifications. Specific inquiries include whether the solution supports Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), how customer data is segregated, the vendor's disaster recovery plan and testing frequency, their approach to security threat monitoring, audit log retention practices, and certifications like SOC 2 Type 2 and compliance with standards such as HIPAA and PCI DSS.
