CentralSquare’s long-term plan is to continue to participate in discussions conducted by these entities regarding video, telematics, short message service (SMS), and other communications concepts, and to assist in the development of these industry standards, while actively monitoring industry associations, including APCO and ATIS. This allows CentralSquare to be on the forefront of the next features sets and their implementation requirements. This extended visibility into the design and development process allows CentralSquare to incorporate compliance with new features and regulations in regular updates of our public safety solutions.
| 5.00 | The solution should have the ability to dispatch only law units from a specific Troop area from a single CAD window (the ability to filter out other agencies from non-relevant unit recommendations) | X | ONESolution uses a geo-graphically driven engine to recommend units based on configured response plans, event location, nature of the event, capabilities of units, unit availability, fastest arrival, etc. In addition, the telecommunicator is provided follow-up recommendations for additional levels of response. ONESolution CAD can provide multiple levels of recommendation based on location of event and areas of patrol or assignment, needed capabilities, etc. but always allows telecommunicators to override recommendations and dispatch units as needed. | |||
| 6.00 | The solution should have the ability to capture all CAD transactions in an audit log | X | ONESolution CAD has robust auditing features to capture user actions and activity. Event centric activities, such as actions taken on any event (viewing premise information, unit status changes, call changes, etc. are tracked in the event history for each event. System activities, such as configuration and code table changes, are tracked in a separate system audit table. Data associated with audit records typically includes pre and post-values for data changes, information about the user performing the cation, button(s) clicked, date/time stamps, console (or workstation) from which the action was performed, the module or window used, etc. Log records are not limited to data change events and includes additional records such as login/logout attempts and viewing data, etc. | |||
| 7.00 | The solution should have the ability to support multiple monitors | X | ONESolution CAD supports multiple monitors and is generally recommended to use a minimum of 2 monitors. Users can arrange their window layouts for multiple monitor configurations and save these profiles for quick retrieval if they move between varying configurations that differ either virtually or physically. This provides a fast and efficient way to deal with varying hardware configurations and/or varying roles and responsibilities for the dispatcher. These configurations can be changed on the fly by the telecommunicator as needed. | |||
| 8.00 | The solution should allow for agency administrators to set a default profile using multiple windows and monitors that are accessible by all users | X | ONESolution CAD supports default profiles configured by administrators that are applied at login. The default profile is loaded for users that do not need or have custom profiles available for a specific configuration or functional need. | |||
| 9.00 | The solution should allow users with appropriate permissions to set multiple profiles using multiple monitors and windows that can be saved and shared with other users | X | ONESolution CAD provides the ability for administrators to define multiple profiles for varying monitor configurations as described. Users can load any profile that has been defined and is available to them. Individual users may also configure and save a custom profile that is loaded at login. | |||
| 10.00 | The solution should have the ability for the system to automatically generate a case/incident number from the Niche RMS application | X | ONESolution CAD does not currently contain the capability to request a case/incident number from the Niche RMS application. ONESolution CAD will assign a unique CAD Event number to each call for service. In addition, it can be configured to act as an authority to generate RMS case/incident numbers based on rules for case number assignment and/or manual assignment by agency. This data can then be exported with essential event data, to the Niche RMS application, where it may be consumed and used to "jumpstart" the completion of a report in the Niche application, preventing duplicate data entry and enhancing efficiency and accuracy. CentralSquare would love to discuss integration opportunities further to understand what possibilities may exist to interface and enhance the experience. | |||
| 11.00 | The solution should have the ability for each agency to have a unique identifier regarding incident numbers | X | ONESolution CAD assigns a unique event ID to each event entered into the CAD solution to maintain consistency and link events together. Additionally, each agency can have their own unique report number assigned by CAD to each call for service for that agency. | |||
| 12.00 | The solution should have the ability to support remote access to the CAD (e.g., via VPN or other secure connection) | X | ONESolution CAD is accessible over any properly provisioned network connection. Connections to CAD systems generally require the use of VPN, multi-factor or other duly secured and configured connection to meet application, local and CJIS rules for access and security. | |||

| 14.00 | The solution should include an "offline" mode so users may continue to perform basic CAD functions if network connectivity is lost | X | ONESolution CAD is deployed using technology and design to support a highly available configuration with N+1 redundancy to reduce the impact of events causing disruption. In the event of an interruption, the CAD solution is designed to display a notice to the user, wait for the connection to be restored and then allow the user to continue. Work cannot generally be performed in the CAD solution during a period of lost network connectivity. Due to the nature of cellular and mobile network connectivity, ONESolution MCT provides offline capabilities for field units to continue certain activities that do not require server access during periods of network disruption. | |||
| 15.00 | The system should include a "back up" or "catch up" mode to allow users to input CAD information following a CAD system outage | X | ONESolution CAD features robust reconnection logic allowing the user to continue their work with a single mouse-click after short interruptions. If an extended outage occurs, the system resumes operations at the same point where activity previously stopped. The Event History feature is used to perform data entry catch-up at a later point in time if needed and the system has the capability to advance case numbers allowing real-time work to continue while catch-up is performed as time permits. | |||

Additional command lines are rights and permission driven. Additional command lines are opened and closed with a single keystroke |
| 45.00 | The solution should allow the agency to configure their desired command format/syntax | X | ONESolution offers the capability to customize certain command formats/syntax. | |||
| 46.00 | The solution should include commands that combine multiple status updates simultaneously (e.g., dispatched and enroute or dispatched and at scene) and log appropriate time stamps for each | X | ONESolution CAD supports combined commands for certain functions where it is commonplace for simultaneous application of these actions. | |||
| 47.00 | The solution should include a call-specific command line or have the ability to default a command to the selected call for service | X | ONESolution CAD allows telecommunicators to have a configurable number of command lines open simultaneously. By default, commands are linked to the call in the call taking/dispatch window. However, any command line can interact with any open call by including the call reference number. | |||
| 48.00 | The solution should provide the ability for the command line to allow for updates of all units on a call simultaneously using call for service number (e.g., all units at scene at the same time, all units in service at the same time) | X | ONESolution CAD allows the dispatcher to update all units assigned to a call using a wildcard character | |||
| 49.00 | The solution should provide the ability for the command line to allow for all commands to be executed using a unit number or call for service number (where applicable) | X | ONESolution allows for unit or call specific commands to be executed using the unit identifier or a short/temporary (typically 2 or 3 digit) call reference0 number. | |||
| 50.00 | The solution should allow agency administrators to alias vendor commands | X | ONESolution CAD allows aliases for nature codes, street names, alarm levels, sites, business and commonplaces. | |||
| Timers and Time Stamps | ||||||
| 51.00 | The solution should have the ability to automatically time stamp all activities. Time stamps should include the date/time, unit numbers, and the user(s) performing the function/activity | X | ONESolution has the ability to timestamp with date/time/user. | |||
| 52.00 | The solution should have the ability to configure timers and alerts based upon agency-defined parameters to include any and all combinations of the following: Unit status, call status, call priority, and call type | X | ONESolution is configurable based on the above. | |||
| 53.00 | The solution should automatically reset timers as unit and call statuses change | X | As status changes ONESolution does update timers. | |||
| 54.00 | The solution should have the ability to associate timers with: | -- | -- | -- | -- | -- |
| 54.01 | Unit status updates | X | ONESolution CAD uses the watchdog timer feature for this functionality. Watchdog timers can be added to any unit on a call and/or the system can be configured to set the timers automatically. A change in unit status will reset the timer or the timer can be cleared, reset to the default or reset to a user specified value by a dispatcher/telecommunicator. | |||
| 54.02 | Call type timers | X | ONESolution call type timers are configurable for each nature code | |||
| 54.03 | Agency-defined time in current unit or call status | X | A timer is assigned based on the configuration of the system and the nature code of the current event. If the system is configured to associate a timer based on a unit remaining in a certain status for a defined amount of time, the timer is associated automatically as soon as the unit status changes. When the timer expires, audible and visual notifications are triggered in CAD. The timer may be cleared, reset to the configured default, or it may be reset to a specified time value. | |||
| 54.04 | Call priority | X | ONESolution call priorities are configurable to each nature code and can be manually changed when needed | |||
| 55.00 | The solution should allow for timers to be configured at the agency level (e.g., each agency on the system may have their own timers) | X | ONESolution CAD allows for timer defaults to be configured at the response level for each agency. Units assigned to an event inherit the default event timer, which can be overridden by the dispatcher. Additionally, the dispatcher can assign timers to units for events without default timers. | |||
| 56.00 | The solution should allow for timers to be configured for any agency- defined statuses | X | ONESolution is able to create timers for agency-defined statuses. | |||
| 57.00 | The solution should allow for timers to be set automatically and manually for calls and units | X | ONESolution supports a function that allows unit timers to be set automatically based upon not only the status but also the priority of the incident to which units are responding. For example, an en route time to a low-priority incident has more allowable time than en route time to a high-priority incident. | |||
| 58.00 | The solution should allow for a "generic" timer that can be set by a user for any reason and time | X | ONESolution offers the ability to add a watchdog timer to a unit on a call for any reason and to set the expiration of the timer to a specified value up to 999 minutes. | |||
| 59.00 | The solution should allow users the option to clear and snooze timers | X | ONESolution offers the option for dispatch to clear timers, reset timers to the default value or reset a timer using a specific time value. | |||

| 93.00 | The solution should have the ability to capture multiple locations outside of caller location, including multiple secondary unit locations | X | We aren't wholly sure of the scenario to capture here. Our assumption is to capture the association of incidents at multiple locations. In this context, we see this as a series of CAD calls for service records created from a single call. In this case, each call would have its own address, response, event history, etc. and would be linked to the primary event from which each of the other events was created. This is a simple, single-click/single action to create the additional calls and they are linked automatically. This provides the capability to capture multiple locations and track units, activities and dispositions independently, and to maintain a link from each back to the primary. If the context should be more centered on unit locations as they relate to a singular response, this data is captured and stored inherently throughout the life of a CAD event and the unit location history is available thru the AVL playback/reporting features. | |||
