About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for Request for Proposal (RFP) RFP-25-026-KY issued by the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida, for the Eastmonte Park Synthetic Turf project. The addendum modifies the original solicitation by extending the proposal submission deadline from March 21, 2025, to April 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The updated RFP schedule includes key dates such as a March 17, 2025 deadline for questions, a March 19, 2025 addendum deadline, an April 9, 2025 evaluation of written proposals, and a May 6, 2025 City Commission approval of the Evaluation Committee ranking. Additionally, the addendum introduces a new requirement for a maintenance bond, which will be 10% of the contract amount and guarantee repair or replacement of work for two years after completion.

The maintenance bond requirement stipulates that the contractor must obtain a surety bond through an agency acceptable to the City, with the Surety Company providing its address and local agent contact information. The bond will cover defects that become apparent within two years of project completion, with the Engineer authorized to notify the principal of any defects and specify a reasonable correction timeline. The surety is obligated to correct defects or pay associated costs if the principal fails to do so, with the City retaining the right to undertake corrections at the contractor's expense. The addendum also includes detailed statutory references from Section 255.05 of the Florida Statutes, outlining provisions for payment and performance bonds, notice requirements for claimants, and time limitations for legal actions related to the bond.
