About this file

This document is an amendment to the Request for Applications (RFA) for the Early Literacy Success Community Grants issued by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE). The amended RFA seeks to support culturally and linguistically responsive early literacy efforts, increase family and caregiver engagement, and implement high-dosage tutoring and training in community organizations. Key changes include revisions to the eligibility criteria, schedule updates extending the closing and intent to award dates, and clarifications to the Project Activities Table and associated evaluation criteria. The revised RFA requires detailed information on proposed Year 1 activities, including activity titles, descriptions, locations, materials, partners, participant estimates, and anticipated impacts, as well as summaries of projected Years 2-3 activities and milestones.

The amended RFA maintains the original purpose of providing grants to eligible community-based organizations, early learning hubs, early learning service providers, post-secondary institutions, and public libraries to implement the specified early literacy strategies. No pricing details, funding amounts, or other salient financial information is provided in the amendment.
