About this file
This document is an amendment to a Request for Applications (RFA) issued by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) for the Early Literacy Success Community Grants. The amendment revises several sections of the RFA, including the grant amount, duration, and schedule.
The revised RFA outlines the purpose of the grants, which is to support culturally and linguistically responsive early literacy efforts, increase family and caregiver engagement, and implement high-dosage tutoring and training for high-dosage tutoring in community organizations. The Agency anticipates awarding multiple grants, with the initial term being from January 2, 2025 to June 30, 2025. Contingent upon approved funding, the Agency reserves the option to amend the grants to add funding for the following biennium, July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027. The not-to-exceed amount for the first year is $1,000,000, with an additional $1,000,000 for Years 2 and 3. The application deadline has been extended to October 31, 2024, and the notice of intent to award is now scheduled for December 12, 2024.
