About this file
This document is an Attachment "B" detailing the Optional Solicitation Walk-Through Conference Schedule issued by the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) for Kitchen Hood Stack Cleaning Services. The schedule outlines mandatory site visits across nine correctional facilities located in Lincoln, Omaha, York, Tecumseh, and McCook, Nebraska, structured over three consecutive days from October 1-3, 2025. Each facility visit is precisely timed, starting at the main reception area, and will be conducted with NDCS personnel escorting contractors through secure areas. The walk-throughs are designed to provide potential bidders an opportunity to inspect the facilities where kitchen hood stack cleaning services will be performed, with specific locations including Work Ethic Camp, Nebraska Correctional Center for Women, Tecumseh State Correctional Institution, Omaha Correctional Center, Community Corrections Center-Omaha, Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility, Reception & Treatment Center, Community Corrections Center-Lincoln, and Nebraska State Penitentiary.
The accompanying contract opportunity indicates that electronic solicitation responses are due on October 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM Central Time, with the contract spanning two years starting December 31, 2025, and potential renewal options for two additional two-year periods. The solicitation requires comprehensive quarterly and semi-annual cleaning services for kitchen exhaust systems, adhering to NFPA 96 and local fire codes. Vendors must provide high-pressure washing, manual scrubbing, waste disposal, and detailed documentation including before and after photos and inspection reports. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and pollution liability coverage. While no specific budget ranges are detailed, the procurement process appears designed to be competitive, with the state reserving the right to evaluate responses based on multiple criteria such as price, location, quality, delivery time, and vendor qualifications.
