A. PURPOSE
The purpose of the Navy ManTech Annual Data Call is to provide the Centers of Excellence (COEs) with the known data requirements as well as guidance for those requirements on an annual basis. One of the overall goals of the Navy ManTech Program is to standardize and reduce reporting requirements, both on a program level and on a project level, to what’s necessary to support all known taskers and fire drills from sources as varied as CNR, ONR, N94, DoD Comptrollers, OPNAV, DoD / OSD, Congressional staffers, etc. as well as all Navy ManTech publications. Due to unforeseen and unexpected taskers / requests for information that come into the Navy ManTech Program Office, there inevitably will be additional data requests to the COEs; however, the intent, with the establishment of the Annual Data Call, is to minimize the number of individual calls, to optimize the data to satisfy multiple purposes, and, ultimately, to reduce the overhead burden at the COEs due to multiple, unrelated requests for data.
The Annual Data Call is established with the understanding that, once annual requirements are known, the COEs should be able to plan effectively to ensure that all data submitted is complete, accurate, of high quality, and timely. It is expected that there may be revisions to the Annual Data Call as additional data requirements are identified. The intent, however, will remain to standardize and reduce data calls to the extent possible.
B. REQUIRED TIMELINE
The various individual data calls have different call and submission dates. Reference the Data Call Chart document for an overview of the ManTech data calls and their respective due dates.
C. PROCESS / APPROVAL CYCLE
Revisions to the Annual Data Call and the guidance documents (Attachments 3-22) are expected. A notice will be sent by e-mail to each COE (Director and Technical Director, or substitute) with any guidance revision. COEs are expected to be aware of any new guidance and use the latest revision, if applicable.
D. FORMAT
Required formats are shown in the individual guidance documents (Attachments 3-22).
E. FILE NAME AND REVISION REQUIREMENTS
File name and revision requirements for each type of data will be called out in the individual guidance documents if applicable.
