Questions and Answers #3
NNC16ZMX004R
1) Question - A request for additional technical data has been submitted. SLS-SPEC-044-10, Cross-Program Vehicle Design Environments Volume 10: Block 1B Vehicle Acoustics, has been requested. Will this document be made available?
Answer – No.
2) Question - A request for additional technical data has been submitted. SLS-SPEC-044-03, Cross-Program Vehicle Design Environments Volume 3: Interface and Shared Compartment
Thermal, has been requested. Will this document be made available?
Answer - Yes. If you would like to receive this document, please send your request to the contacts listed on the “Request for Technical Data” attachment (attachment 18 of 19) of the
Final RFP.
3) Question - K.11 and K.13 are the same in content. K.11 would be the preferred use as the
FAR number 1852.209-76 is called out in the title.
Answer – K.11 and K.13 are the same in content. Because of this redundancy and the fact that K.11 is an official NASA FAR Supplement provision, only K.11 should be utilized and an amendment to this Solicitation will be posted deleting the content of K.13.
4) Question - Will NASA consider changing the font restriction identified in Section L.15 for graphics and tables from Times New Roman 11 point type to Times New Roman 10 point type or Arial 9 point type?
Answer – Yes. An Amendment to this Solicitation will be posted specifying that text in diagrams and/or any other object must NOT be smaller than the Times New Roman 10 point type.
5) Question - Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), “03 of 19 - RFP Sections B – M”, Section
L.23 – According to the table located on page 107 of 142, the Integrated Master Schedule is not included (N/A) in the Volume I Mission Suitability 100 Page limit. On 112 of 142, MA2.1 “A SLS USA Integrated Master Schedule, including milestones, to accomplish all
SLS USA requirements including phasing of the base and option periods” implies that the
Integrated Master Schedule is included in the Mission Suitability Volume and would therefore be included in that volume’s 100 page limit. Please clarify.
Answer – The Integrated Master Schedule is included in the Mission Suitability Volume.
However, the Integrated Master Schedule is excluded from the Mission Suitability Volume page count of 100 pages. The Integrated Master Schedule has its own page limit of 15 pages.
