Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) Science and Mission Operations Contract
Industry Day #2 May 25, 2016
NASA Ames Research Center Moffett Field, CA 94035
Agenda
8:00am to 9:00am Visitor Badging Office:
Attendees should arrive at NASA Ames least one hour prior to the start of the presentation at 9am in order to check in and get a visitor badge.
Visitor Check-In and Badging is located at the entrance to Moffett Field on Moffett Blvd. After getting a badge, attendees should proceed to building N232 (see directions below).
9:00am to 11:30am Building N245, Auditorium Room 272 (upstairs): - UPDATED Introductions and Announcements SOFIA Program Overview Procurement Process Overview Summary of the Requirements (Statement of Work) Tour of office facilities in N232 (subject to change)
11:30pm to 12:30pm Lunch Break – Mega Bites Café is located in building N235 (see map)
12:30pm to 5:00pm Available for individual 30-minute pre-solicitation meetings with the Contracting Officer. Please schedule in advance, as instructed below.* Meeting locations will be announced during the morning presentation.

FOLLOWING INFORMATION FOR EACH ATTENDEE:
U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents:
Full name of visitor
Company name or organization
Citizenship
Driver’s license state of issue
Foreign National must provide all of the above, plus:
Visa and passport information
Alien reg. No.
Foreign nationals may not be able to participate due to processing time needed. Contact Jeff Brown at the email above as soon as possible.
* Please indicate if your organization would like a 30-minute pre-solicitation meeting with the Contracting Officer and Program Representatives. Each organization/proposal team is allowed one such meeting prior to release of the RFP. Meetings will be conducted in the afternoon.
Interested parties that do not request a meeting in advance will be accommodated if schedule permits.
All visitors must present a valid, current Government-issued photo I.D. at the NASA Visitor Badging office, such as a driver’s license. Visitors who have a current NASA hard badge may bypass the badging office and go directly to the NASA gate.
General Visitor Information
Attire is business casual. Some walking may be required, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
Directions
NASA Ames is located at Moffett Field, CA in the Silicon Valley, approximately 35 miles south of San Francisco. See the attached map for details of the NASA Ames campus.
Exit Hwy 101 at Moffett Blvd toward NASA Ames
Stay in the right lane and follow the signs to the “NASA Visitor Badging” building at the entrance to Moffett Field. Park in the lot and go into the building to pick up your badge.
After picking up your badge, get back onto Moffett Blvd, which becomes Clark Road.
Continue on Moffett Blvd/Clark Road and make the very first left turn onto Arnold Avenue (before the Moffett Field guard house)
Show your badge at the NASA gate, then continue around the circular drive to De France Avenue
Turn right onto King Road (first stop sign past the circle)
Turn left onto Mark Avenue and continue to the end of the road
Turn right at the end of Mark Avenue onto Pollack Road
Building N245 will be on right past the warehouse building. Parking is available at the front of the building. The auditorium is located on the second floor near the stairs.
