What type of conduit are we to use when transitioning from underground to above grade?

ANSWER: Use fiberglass conduit transition for the free-standing electrical equipment (e.g., disconnect switches), as indicated on Sheet E-402 and Detail B3/E-521 SWITCH MOUNTING DETAIL. Use stainless steel conduit transition for the telecom service conduits into the new building, as indicated on Detail B1/ET504 COMMUNICATIONS DUCT ENTRY DETAIL SLAB ON GRADE. Use PVC-coated GRC for the telecom conduits located on the north exterior of Building 2115 as indicated on Detail A4/ET203 BUILDING 2115 – NORTH ELEVATION and on Detail C4/ET504 UNDERGROUND TO EXPOSED TRANSITION DETAIL. Will clarify requirements for fiberglass via future Amendment.
