CONTINUATION SHEET
1. QUESTION: Does the base retain all scrap metal? Including metal furniture noted on AD101 and AD102?
ANSWER: The contractor can take the scrap metal off base. If they prefer to take it to the recycling center on base they may do so but the contract will need to be registered with the landfill clerk via contracting officer.
2. QUESTION: Drawing AD101 and Ad102 Furniture Demolition Notes: Existing serviceable chairs, comforters, refrigerators, and microwaves turned over to government building 1212 and/or 1301. Please provide an expected percentage of furniture to be considered serviceable.
ANSWER: Supply Management Division will tag the items deemed serviceable prior to demolition occurring. Approximately 10% task chairs and 20% of refrigerators/microwaves will be serviceable.
3. QUESTION: Drawing AD111 Demolition Note #1 for Building M441 Wood piles to be
ANSWER: Provide proposal per documents.
4. QUESTION: Are there as-builts for M441? Particularly of the foundation to determine number of timber piles.
ANSWER: Government to provide as-built information after award.
5. QUESTION: Specs 32 92 23 page 3 - 2.1.1: Is centipede sod required or can we hydroseed?
ANSWER: Centipede sod is required.
6. . QUESTION: Specs 02 41 00 page 3 -
ANSWER: Provide 6' fence.
7. QUESTION: Drawing AD402 Note #12: Where are we taking the washers and dryers to?
Please provide a location.
ANSWER: The washers and dryers are serviced by an outside contractor and will be removed prior to the government turning over the building to the Contractor.
8. QUESTION: Specs 01 11 00 Page 1 Bullet 1.2: Mentions phasing but no other information is provided for phasing. Is this project going to be completed in phases, if so please provide additional information.
ANSWER: The project will not be completed in phases.
9. QUESTION: Drawing CD 101 and CD102 Note #12: Should we assume the existing hydronics piping has asbestos insulation?
ANSWER: Underground piping was not tested due to inaccessibility, recommend assuming positive until samples can be collected.
10. QUESTION: Drawing CD 101 and CD102 Note #12: According to the drawings the existing hydronics piping runs underneath a tree, a transformer, a manhole, and a drop inlet that are to remain. Can the existing hydronics piping be cut and capped then abandoned in place?
ANSWER: All hydronic piping must be removed.
11. QUESTION: Drawing CD 101 Note #8: Please verify location for the construction entrance? Current location I next to the sidewalk of an occupied building. There is also no access to that construction entrance for equipment and trucks. Could the entrance be moved to a more accessible
ANSWER: Provide per plans.
12. QUESTION: Where will the staging area be located for debris containers?
ANSWER: The staging area will be coordinated with the contractor at the preconstruction conference.
13. QUESTION: Please confirm hospital tips are required on hinges.
ANSWER: Provide per specifications.
14. QUESTION:
waiver please be provided for the RFID locks?
ANSWER: Locksets must be manufactured and programmed in the United States. A BAA waiver will not be provided.
