About this file

This Executable Scope document details a Navy project to extend a 35kV underground electrical circuit at NSA Hampton Roads Norfolk, Virginia. The project involves demolishing the existing NS-5 overhead circuit and replacing it with a new 34.5kV underground circuit from Navy South Switching Station to Switch #232, which will serve as the primary line for the SA Substation. The NS-15 overhead circuit will then provide redundancy.

Key technical requirements include providing 3-1/C #750kcmil 35kV EPR cable with a ground wire, installing cable tags in manholes, and conducting an Electrical Manhole Inspection Report documenting the conditions of 29 manholes. The project is managed by NAVFAC MID-ATLANTIC's Public Works Department Norfolk, with Frances Peppers as the scope lead and C. Jeff Morton as the Project Manager. The work must be performed during regular government working hours, comply with safety regulations, and require various submittal documents prior to construction activities.
