Sheet A102 Sheet A102 is the renovation plan which include the following outdoor spaces Extended Patio and Modified Back Extended Patio. It appears that the FHT-5 call out that transitions between the Extended Patio and Modified Back Extended Patio is miss located as the VIP 2 room still has a "high" floor. The FHT-5 should be placed further to the right on plan, perhaps aligning with the wall separating VIP 2 and New River Rooms.
This is correct. The existing Game Room door to the patio has a concrete stoop that is missing in the Demo Plan (A101).
6 Part 3 4.B.2 The RFP indicates "demolish as many load bearing walls as possible without compromising structural integrity and replace with new structural supports as necessary to facilitate new kitchen and support floor plan layout". Please clarify what walls are required to be removed and specify the minimum amount of existing CMU wall that can remain.
Remove all of the interior kitchen partition walls that it are structurally sound to remove.
2 Part 3 1.A.2 Please provide some guidance on the size, dimension, and types of materials to be considered in the replacement canopy described as "replacement with a new wider structure with more contemporary aesthetic design." This is too general to apply a price to for this facility and leads to great risk.
This is a Design-Build delivery system; hence, the Designer of Record must provide option(s) including but not limited to overall design, materials, colors, etc. to be evaluated during the PAK meeting. The layout shown in plans is arbitrary. Refer to 01

RFP Letter The Solicitation indicates that information regarding Liquidated Damages is forthcoming in a future amendment. We ask that the Government takes into considerartion the perceived risk (cost) that results from exorbitant LD values. Subcontractors become less willing to provide pricing when the damages are too high, which reduces the level of competition that the Prime contractors are able to solicit from the subcontractor market. Please consider LD values in line with the amended values that have been applied to recent GCC Solicitations at Camp Lejeune.
Liquidated damages are updated to $1,368.49/calendar day.
