The E‐402 should indicate a 200A disconnect to match the single line.
28 12784901 ED502 Sheet keynote #2 indicates # wires to be retained for extending during construction.
Dwg E‐401 key note #10 has conduit for these wires being reinstalled. It is assumed all wiring is from Generator and will be spliced at PB‐1. There is no information relative to where these wires terminate in the existing building. It is assumed that the existing trough can be used to splice wiring as well.
Please confirm.
The keynotes indicate to extend the existing wiring, therefore splicing will be provided in the pullboxes shown. E‐601 also indicates how the existing generator is connected to the facility. Existing wiring from the PB‐2 inside the building will remain as is.

37 SRM building – fire extinguisher cabinets are indicated throughout the building.
However, most locations are at CMU walls. Are surface mounted cabinets required or will fire extinguishers be mounted directly on wall?
Provide fire extinguishers at all locations identified on code compliance plan 2G103. It is acceptable to provide bracket (surface) mounted fire extinguishers at all locations in the SRM building.
38 3C103 Building 49 Demo – with the exception of the front porch early demo for the perimeter fence, please confirm all demolition costs and restoration with new paving are to be included as part of CLIN 0003 – Option 1.

The guard house is existing.
41 Per CLIN 0001AJ – removal and disposal of regulated hazardous soil. This breakdown should include “handling, excavation, temporary storage, hauling, sampling, testing, permitting, disposal.” Is this indicated 3000 tons intended to include P‐1098 (dwg CS100, note D)? Where is the designated location for the temporary storage prior to leaving the site? What is the approach/plan for removal of designated soil – for example:
when excavating utilities for demo, if soil is determined to require removal will all soils touched be required to be removed or will a certain depth be established for a clean soil cap thickness? Also, should clean backfill be included within this tonnage price?
The 3000 tons does not include soil disposal required by General Sheet Note D on CS‐100. We expect any soil to be disposed of for P1098 will be “regulated” but not hazardous. This is consistent with all other soil tests we have done under the current GCC task order.
42 NA Will the contractor will be required to follow the requirements of the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) (15 CFR 700)? If so, does this project have a DO or DX rating for procurement of materials?
DPAS Priority Rating is DO‐C2.
43 2CD704 note 6 and similar
Is building 121 of post‐tensioned concrete slab construction in any area? The notes only indicate that the slabs are reinforced.
Existing information for Building 121 is limited. It is not anticipated that the concrete slab is post‐ tensioned.
44 01 35 26 1.6.1.1 NA It is understood that the SSHO is on site full time, but can that person have other duties (i.e.
Superintendent) under this contract? It is understood that the QC Manager cannot also be the SSHO.

Refer to A1/1A201 for typical brick pattern and control joint detail. Control joint to be 3/8" backer rod and sealant. Refer to Specifications Section 04 20 00.
46 A501 Detail B1/A501 depicts the corrugated wall panels being stopped short of the existing 1029 structure and provides no further installation details. Please provide make and model of planned Elastomeric Bellow so that supplemental framing and mounting can be accounted for.
The expansion cover is part of the overall metal building system and is therefore proprietary to the building manufacturer.
Provide manufacturer’s standard expansion joint covers at walls and roofs of the intersection of the new and existing metal buildings. Coordinat e the expansion joints with the metal building systems and design to allow for up to 1” expansion due to differential building settlement and thermal expansion. Expansio n joint covers must maintain the metal building system capable of withstanding exposure to weather without failure or infiltration of water into the building interior.
47 FX101, FX102 P‐1098 building – Sprinkler main size. Sheet notes indicate 6” but pipe labeled to be 4” on FX102.
Please clarify.
“The new 6” line coming from the long hallway labeled ‘PASSAGEWAY’ on drawing sheet FX101 transitions to a 4” line. The transition occurs at the valve in the upper left corner of the room labeled
‘NC PROGRAMMING
AREA’ as denoted by Sheet Keynote 2 on drawing sheets FX101 and FX102.”
48 1G101 Would it be acceptable for the contractors’ field offices to be located in the vicinity of building 1081? If not, where is the designated location for office trailers?
See 1C003, 2C003, and 3C003 for designated material storage and staging areas.
49 1A103 The spacing between the Galvanized kickers supporting the Metal siding is not mentioned. Please clarify.
See structural drawings (1S104, 1S205) for location and details of screenwall kicker.
