About this file

This document contains responses to pre-award inquiries for solicitation N4008023R0007 to construct a vehicle inspection and visitor control center at Marine Corps Base Quantico.

The project includes building a vehicle control center, commercial vehicle inspection building, commercial vehicle inspection canopy, sentry booth, surface parking lot, and related site work. The vehicle control center and commercial vehicle inspection building will be single-story structures with reinforced concrete masonry walls, structural steel framing, and concrete slabs on grade supported by reinforced concrete spread footings.

Inquiries covered site utilities from Dominion Energy and Columbia Gas; geotechnical recommendations; asphalt specifications; controls integration; landscaping and tree removal requirements; and clarifications to drawings and specifications sections for doors, windows, roofing, framing, paving, and HVAC equipment. Responses provided points of contact, clarified design intent, and updated specification sections. Pricing terms require bidders to provide unit pricing for off-site soil disposal.
