About this file
This document contains a draft request for proposal for the global sustainment of anti-terrorism force protection systems and assets worldwide. The planned acquisition strategy is to award an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with a maximum capacity of $600 million over an 8-year period. The contract would include a base ordering period of 60 months and an optional ordering period of 36 months, as well as a 6-month extension if required. The bulk of work under the contract would be through a task order for sustainment of 955 existing systems and 81,959 assets, valued over a base year and seven option years plus extension. Separate task orders would be issued for technological refreshment, system upgrades, repairs from damage or acts of God, and approved engineering changes. Potential offerors are advised the acquisition strategy is pending approval and the draft RFP has not completed the required review process, so changes are likely. Feedback on improving the RFP quality and clarity is requested by March 31.
