Workload Estimates
MEAL ESTIMATES
Although the contract is for mess attendant support services and not for the direct preparation or service of meals, the volume of contractor support functions required will generally be driven by the number of meals prepared and served by the galley staff.
The estimated average number of meals served will be 50,000 each month throughout the life of the contract - plus or minus 15%. As such, a high volume month may be up to 57,500 meals served while a low volume month may be as low as 42,500 meals served.
*Note that the estimated number of meals is provided to assist the contractor in formulating an accurate proposal for the cost of services to be performed. Any variance in the number of meals served per month is considered to be within the general scope of the contract and the contractor will not be entitled to a claim for additional compensation if the meal volume changes over the life of the contract. The contractor remains responsible for performing all mess attendant duties indirectly associated with meal service in support of the galley as generally described in the PWS.
